Window Assassin is a tiny Windows tray utility for instantly terminating the process behind the active window.


Press Ctrl+Alt+End while the unwanted or frozen window is focused. Window Assassin calls the Windows TerminateProcess API, so it can close apps that ignore normal requests.

Warning

Install instructions

Installer: run WindowAssassin-Setup.exe and choose whether to start with Windows. Portable: extract the ZIP and launch WindowAssassin.exe. Accept the administrator prompt, focus the target window, and press Ctrl+Alt+End.
